For whatever reason, this morning I couldn't listen to CarPlay for longer than 8 seconds without it cutting out. I unplugged the phone multiple times, restarted the phone, turned the truck off and back on. Nothing solved it.

Anyone have any idea what I should do?

GM radios are utter shite.

What type of vehicle? The one time mine was giving me similar issues, I swapped out the cable and havent had any problems since.

Clean out the lightning port with compressed air and try a new cable.

Turning the truck on and off only does a soft reboot of the radio, you must leave it off for a while. Hold the home and fast forward button on the GM radio to do a hard reboot quickly, this seems to solve most issues with the GM radios.

I had similar issues this morning, just controlled it from my phone and had no issues. When I controlled it from my phone, and tried to enter the app on the vehicle, it would shutoff again.

It has to be an upgrade, or in need of an upgrade, with the way it was responding.

FYI, Acura driver w the same issue

Majority of the time it’s your cable that has a short in it, when mine does that I change out my cable and the problem is solved

Hard restart on the vehicle comms. Not just turn off / on. Also try removing the Bluetooth connection and adding back.

Mine did this w bmw after an Apple update.

You can buy a module on Amazon that will turn any vehicle to wireless CarPlay for around $100. It works well for most cars from what I’ve read. Since it’s from Amazon you can send it back easily if it doesn’t work.

Mine too. Although occasionally it will cut in and out depending on how good the wifi signal is. It’s rare but it happens
