I'm on a windows 7 computer so I don't think I can use .apk's. Anyway I've been making xbmc/kodi work for me, but I had it all set up and now I guess somehow upgraded it's self and now I'm back to vanilla kodi.

Here's what I'm looking for. A simple way to stream movies/tv shows like I used to. I have real debrid which always seemed to work. Maybe add on an iptv like twisted if I get tired of psview. I'm not awfully concerned with quality as long as it's around tv/dvd quality.

Not android, but windows. Thanks

not meaning to be a dick but that obvious as you were still using kodi... the quality of content reduced dramatically when it went from xbmc to kodi. many time i have shown true 1080pHD compared to the HD kodi streams people were getting. just saying they werent hd.

So unless you want to set yo your own server with your own content, really the only other thing is paying for one of the streaming services. But the deal is getting your own content.

This

All of the time and effort for Kodi and similar things just isn't worth it anymore imo.

Why are you on a computer?

Get a chromecast and cinemaapk on your android phone. Done.

I use Kodi with no issues. But I don't use a build. Using a build is a recipe for failure. Just learn how to use vanilla kodi.

Builds are just pretty. I found over 90% of it to be absolutely useless. Just maintain whatever add on is the current best. I am fine with a little bit of work to keep it up

Get a fire TV, fire cube, or fire stick and run APK through it.

Google Troypoint APK for step by step instructions with videos.

Easy.

Since you already don’t like paying for content, get plex and download torrents to your computer. Just buy a vpn, which you should already have using kodi.

I already have psvue and amazon prime and my dad's dishtv acct since I provide his internet. But I prefer watching my tv shows commercial free and half the time you can't find what you're looking for like I used to be able to with kodi/placenta. But you're right, I'm not going to pay $30 for a single season of something that was on free tv.

I just started with a computer because when I cut the cord, there weren't many android boxes and what was there had lag issues.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll have a look.

I haven't watched a commercial outside of a live sporting event in years.

My point was, if you dont' mind watching movies for free on Kodi, then downloading torrents and putting them on plex is no biggie either. Some people are moral about paying for tv.

It's really simple, put Plex on your computer, get a VPN, download torrents (I've been using rarbg.to website for 3 years with no issues), put plex on your tv or roku/firetv, and watch whatever you downloaded commercial free. Hell you can download full seasons and Plex will organize it for you and play the next episode as if you were watching Netflix.

This is all so complicated. Just pay for a cable box and be done with it.
