That's a very solid list. I don't know a ton about Verratti as I don't watch PSG much, he is a DLP right?
This would actually be a really good team, and not just a collection of the 11 best players, like some lists are. I think I would swap Shaw for Alaba and Jones for maybe Marquinhos, though.

Nice Chelsea will have 3 once we get Luke Shaw this summer.

I'd go out on a limb and say it's because he's English . . .
just like Luke Shaw over Alaba and Mattia Di Sciglio and probably others that have actually already established themselves as fixtures on their club and national teams.

to be fair, he has been a fixture in Southampton's first team for the past 2 seasons... I would probably only place Alaba above him on the list..
He's big, powerful and pacey..
He is gonna fetch between £20-30mm for Soton this summer...

You're probably right and I just don't watch much EPL so haven't noticed him.
I mainly react to these lists because I get the sense the people who compile them watch nothing aside from EPL and maybe the most hyped CL match.
I'm still not sure you couldn't assemble a handful of other names from around the globe of pretty talented younger fullback prospects that are yet to even play for their full NTs.
Mattia De Sciglio, for example, was already starting qualifying matches for the Italian NT and it was his link up play with El Sharawaay that made AC Milan actually pretty decent and got them into a CL position last year before both were injured.

Shaw is the exception to the English over hype rule IMO, that said for the price he will go for this summer, I'd love Rodriguez or Sevilla's Moreno for 1/2 the English upcharge price he will command...

If it were any competently run club I'd say there's no chance they sell him but with Milan I'd not be surprised to see them sell him and sign a Evra type on a free.
Domenico Criscito is another Italian LB that will probably move this summer from Zenit. He's not a younger prospect like De Sciglio but is a quality LB.
I had thought he may be a good buy for Roma but it seems that we'll go the way of more Brazilian teenyboppers to back up Dodo if Balzaretti continues to struggle with injury issues.

Nah, Porto is the Russian/Qatari oligarch farm club.
We just bought Abner from Cortiba for €5m who is supposedly Brazil's hottest LB prospect at the moment according to my Brazilian friends. He's 18 though so he may go on loan.
We also bought Rafael Tolói this winter from Sao Paolo. He's CB but also plays fullback.
If Abner isn't ready, I imagine Sabatini will go back to the South American schoolyards. . .
Sabatini's claim to fame is locating these guys like Pastore, Marquinhos, Dodo etc. . .

I wish the EPL didn't have those work permit laws, there is little no value in scouting the SA school yards for us...

I'd say the credit goes more the owner Giampaolo Pozzo.
They have a massive scouting system/budget and some of their scouts have moved to other clubs but they keep finding superstars.
That he owns Granada and now Watford gives them more leeway in signing so many young players too.
They're building a new stadium and it will be interesting to see if they try to hold onto some guys a year or two longer with the increased revenue.
Though the revenue won't be all that significant since Friuli, where they're located, is more a scenic village than a city.
It's astounding the amount of talent they had on that squad a couple of years ago:
Alexis Sanchez, Medhi Benatia, Cuadrado, Inler, Asamoah, Armero, Handanovic
You'd have to give a lot of credit to their manager Guidolin as well in managing/developing the steady stream of young players.

Gotze needs to be in there somewhere, but not sure for who.
Alaba for Shaw probably. Shaw is nasty though, the few times I've seen him.

I realize it unbalances the team a little, but I think I guy like Christian Eriksen deserves to be in there instead of Verratti. I've never been overly impressed by him.
EDIT: Actually, there is a good way to please everyone here. Alaba plays CM for Austria and is quite good there. So replace Verratti with him and Keep Shaw at LB. Squad balance remains and probably one of the more deserving players makes it on the list.
