Scotland currently sits 7th of 12 teams in the 3rd place pool. They have the worst standing of all the teams with 3 points. 8 of the 12 advance.
If Ecuador or Curacao win they'll likely jump into the 3rd place standings with 4 points
Belgium/NZ winner will advance with a win.
Australia beating Parguay would likely knock Parguay out due to GD.

One of the things I don't like about the unbalanced RO32 bracket is two 2nd placed teams playing each other

I noticed this. Very weird set up.
I feel bad for Japan who has looked really good in a very hard group but will probably end up playing Brazil in the first knockout.
