The way this tournament is going, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Senegal manages to defeat France.

With the way Algeria has won the hearts of Lawrence Kansas I expect arrowhead to be a hostile environment for the defending champs. Messi will be longing for Miami

Nah. I expect France Norway Argentina and Austria all to win. Otherwise I might start to wonder if the US has any real competition outside of Germany in this tournament.

So we’re treated to two African teams squaring off in the group stage!

On KLWM during the NCAA baseball tournament the 23rd Street Brewery had a commercial asking the Algerians to come to the brewery.

Austria should be fun to watch for neutrals - they play a high press high energy style that will result in goals. Mostly for Austria, but probably some for other teams also.

Austria-Argentina should be a great match later.

Defense: Jules Koundé, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano, Théo Hernández

just an absurd starting lineup. good luck against that lot, Mendy

And even with those forwards Deschamps often insists on winning 1-0
I love when France get drawn into a shootout, those are the most fun

Obviously it’s hard to mesh superstars together into a viable team, but holy hell that French lineup should be unbeatable.
