Greens ability to draw fouls and penalties gonna help us? Or will the the US of A get the shaft from the ref? I'm not saying he should flop, I am talking about him truly making quick move between the back line defenders and getting knocked off the ball.

I've read numerous stories highlighting his ability to draw crucial free kicks. He should make defenders nervous to challenge him hard in the box, especially with julians small frame.

I don't think he gets enough playing time to really warrant us hoping that he will draw us a penalty.

Not that your premise is off base.

I am just repeating what I read on the internetz. While at the same time, I truly believe jozy is capable of "running it in hard" at our opponents back line and doing the same. I just hope that Jozy has finally realized he is a horse of a forward and puts it to good use.

The guy hasn't played enough for anyone to know what his strengths are aside from basic physical things (ex.: he's fast).

In the few minutes he's actually played for us, he should have been given 2 penalties. One against Mexico and one against Turkey (might have been Nigeria, can't remember).

Exactly and this is in how many minutes of playing time? I believe JG could produce this edge for us. Like many of the veteran players said, he is a young guy who is not scared to go at defenders. I really think we see him at the last 10 minutes of the portugal game if we are down by 1 goal (more of a shot from halfcourt). But this would only come if we are creating almost no chances against portugal. If we are getting chances on goal against portugal for most of the game, leave green on the bench.

If Shane is the OP you can guarantee two things:

1. It will be about an American forward

2. It will be naive at best, idiotic at worst

I'm still under the impression Jurgen is using him as a secret weapon. ie hardly showing him at all leading up to the world cup and then having him be a starter for all 3 group games as we kick arse and take names.

Hey Chicken when are you going to make Glassman an admin on this board? Especially with the influx of new posters we really need it. Glass is basically here 24/7 and well respected by all, and I think it would benefit the board as a whole.
