Pretty low down but getting a little better each year. This list from sbnation has MLS 12th which is probably about right (arguably).

Premier League/FA
Bundesliga
Serie A (Italy)
La Liga (Spain)
France
Russia
Turkey
Ukraine
Liga MX
Portugal
Netherlands
MLS
Switzerland
Brazil

Your top five... would most here say that is the consensus?

Yes, but not necessarily in that order.

I would but maybe not in that order.

There are bigger problems with that list than that.

Meh, not totally. It's all pretty subjective, and the margins are very fine in football.

I do think Ranking MLS ahead of the top Brazilian league is pretty damn bad.

This is one of those threads that should be banned from this board.

Nothing against the OP bc he's probably trying to learn but this always turns into a shite show.

TBH, while it is divisive, it's better than a FIFA or "Kit" thread.

Not a bad list but id also throw the championship and bundesliga 2 ahead of the MLS

Having it ahead of the Brazil league is just laughable.

Why is MLS above Brazil laughable?

Because the brazilian league has better players/teams.

Just on the technical level alone it makes it a way better league. They have some of the best youth systems in the world.

Imagine the speed and physical aspects of the MLS but way more technical. South American football is brutal.
