Now that it's all over, what's the main thing you'll remember from Brazil when looking back on it years from now?

I like to separate it into American and international significance, so from 2010 it's obviously Landon Donovan scoring against Algeria to send us to the knockout stages. Internationally, Suarez's deliberate handball against Ghana probably tops the Final.

For this year, my American choice is the game-winning goal against Ghana. Finally getting past them after 8 years was like having a weight lifted.

Internationally, it's 7-1. Hands down. I was completely stunned, it was like watching a train wreck for 2 hours, only if train wrecks looked like Brazilians getting throat fricked.

International: 7-1, Suarez returning to his K9 roots yet again, Spains collapse

I will never forget RvP's header against Spain. The absolutely perfect finish to an amazing sequence of events that are extremely, extremely rare.

However, even if it sounds "prisoner-of-the-momentish", Gotze's finish was absolutely world class, and to end the World Cup on that note was very memorable.

That and the subsequent demolition of the champs in their first game was just incredible.

For me, it's Jermaine's goal. In terms of technicality, that is the best goal an American has scored in a World Cup.

Ronaldo's assist was the defining moment for my world cup. If we win that match, we get to rest against Germany. Our cup went to utter shite after that until the second half of extra time against Belgium. We got outscored 4-0 over that 195 minute stretch and looked like garbage going forward the whole time.

The Brazilians singing the anthem before 7-1 is my international moment of the cup.

USA: John Anthony Brooks goal. Nothing else is close (besides bonus moment below).

Goals: Tim Cahill and James Rodriguez volleys were unreal. RVP header was also sensational.

Overall: Minutes 23-29 in the Germany-Brazil game. I do not think that will ever be replicated on such a high level. It was like playing FIFA against Ray Charles.

Bonus: Mexico giving up two goals in the closing minutes. The sweetest part was Rafa Marquez costing his time in stoppage by committing a yellow in the box. That was beautiful.

I'm being negative but the Portugal goal against us in the 95th.

It seems we get boned in the world cup and there is no way in hell there should have been 5 minutes with 1 sub used in the 1st half.

7-1 internationally.

Brooks goal. I was in the stands in Natal, and that was the greatest moment in soccer I've ever witnessed because it was "my" team. Top 5 overall moment in my life as far as sports go. It was pure unexpected joy. We literally dog piled in the stands, and I was hugging people I didn't know, even some Brazilians joined in on our dog pile. I'm getting crazy goosebumps just typing this.
