Frank Scelfo should make the same amount of money as Brian Kelly right?

Won a conference championship last year, Kelly didn’t, works just as a hard. No different from your previous idiotic statement.

Do they work for the same organization? Do you see how your idiotic comparison is apples and oranges?

edit: I do think Kim Mulkey should currently make more than Matt McMahon (not sure if she does)... but I also feel differently about for-profit entities, as opposed to a non-profit National Team...

Men need to sue, they would have an easy case. All they do is use the women's teams own arguments to win.

The men agreed to this deal in collective bargaining. They’ll end up making more money out of this in the long run as FIFA equalizes pay for the tournaments and the women inevitably outperform them.

They’re both Louisiana public university employees. We can change it to Kim Mulkey and Brian Kelly if you would like. I mean as long as you work hard you deserve what someone else has.

So men and women’s college basketball coaches should make the same salary at their respective schools?

Are you under the impression universities and their athletic departments are for-profit entities?

athletic departments

yes

Also a coach's pay scale isn't based on prize money (ok - bonuses)... its a negotiated contract...

but if the NCAA decided to allow players be paid a stipend... I would be totally fine with a woman's tennis player being paid the same as a star football player...

Hell yeah brother #lionup!!!!

But in all honesty this guy is a dope if he thinks this deal is anything short of completely stupid and unfair to the USMNT.

I see the argument and get why others think they way they do... Im not even saying its a wrong opinion.. I'm just saying I dont really care and dont begrudge the women for going after it and getting it... I really dont think it'll have some big impact on the USMNT..

Fifa is never going to equalize the payouts for the tournaments

They have already backed off their statements on the idea

It’s financial suicide

The new agreement not requiring playing the NWSL is going to hurt the quality of the league Fan support in these other leagues is much better as well

I somehow doubt that people in France support women’s club teams better than in the US. I can tell you people there give less of a shite about women’s sports than we do here.

Why?

And again I will say. A professional athlete is an entertainer. Their pay is not based solely on effort and performance. But that seems to be your short sighted argument.

Naive take. Will never happen because the women’s tourney will never make what the men’s does.

Lol did you immediately forget they both lost in the round of 16?

I mean, if the US makes a run in the 2024 COPA and 2026 World Cup, it might take a million bucks from each individual player

I don’t think the women would get a cut of any Copa money. I think the agreement is they only split the money if both teams participate in the same tournament.
