Official: USMNT starting centerback Miles Robinson has a ruptured Achilles and will undergo surgery today. Just a crushing blow for Robinson, who had been rock-solid during World Cup qualifying.

Awful news. How quickly does someone ask GGG about Brooks again?

Assuming we bring 4 CBs I think it should be Zimmerman, Richards, Long, and Brooks.

CCV for Long. But with 26 expected you can have both.

I think we'll be alright, but it certainly does suck.

I feel bad for him, it's bad enough just being injured. Just really sucks that it's a world cup year. Put in all the work to qualify and have to miss the dance.

Based on what?

He's alright, but playing for a barely-not-relegated Ligue 1 side isn't any better than playing MLS

Gregggg was calling Long back in before he was even 100% and playing club ball. You already know he's got a spot.

I’m not saying your wrong, but since when did this become an actual take?

I disagree with this. Ligue 1 is the 5th best league in the world. He is playing against way better opposition week in and week out. I'm not saying I like the guy a lot but the level (Ligue 1) he is playing at is very high.

Bruh, Nico Giaochinni is playing in Ligue 1.

You need to relax.

Sick straw man bruv.

Also, lol at saying the Ligue 1 is the 5th best league in the world like that means something, when, outside of PSG and sometimes Marseille, it's a shite ton closer to the SuperLiga than it is to Serie A.

The Superliga......as in the Argentinian Superliga? I'm the biggest Racing Club fan and watch the league every weekend and no. 1990's, yes......now, not even close.

Now if you meant the Primeira, I'd say you'd have a good argument as Porto, Sporting and Benfica are a strong top 3 with Braga (interesting stadium) usually pretty good.

You stated "barely-not-relegated Ligue 1 side isn't any better than playing MLS". Why are we talking about these other leagues? The quote is about MLS and Ligue 1. Do you think MLS = Ligue 1 or is close? Pretty simple question.

EPB may be playing in a better league but I would still take Long for his experience, esp with our system. He also offers something on set pieces that EPB does not.
