Was really looking forward to seeing Steffen in goal with the mostly full first team.

But Horvath can perform well and really jump into the conversation for the #1 spot.

its time to move on from Zardes

Agree. He's incredibly frustrating to watch. If he had a first touch, he could be a powerful weapon. He's just so out of control.

Be interesting to see who starts between Horvath and Johnson. If GB prefers a keeper who can play the ball out of the back Johnson will have the edge there

There's only about a 3 year difference between them. Zardes had 20 goals in 36 games last season in Berhalter's system. Morris missed all of last season and has only played RW in his 3 games this season.

A good season vs MLS defending shouldn’t make him a starting forward

At least Morris has potential and you can see the growth in his game. That’s why European clubs want him.

Does he? He's already 24 and just missed a year.

Those 20 goals equals Jordan's career total.

Unless we rack up injuries, i don't see Morris ever being someone that does more than occasionally help round out the roster.

Yep. Picked up a slight injury in the last MLS game.

The forward selection makes me sad. Can we just not play any of them and put Pulisic up top for these games?

They had two or three practices before the game. I’m ok with keeping the January camp forwards and trying to integrate the new midfield and defenders. You can only do so much at a time.

i don't know much about ecuador, but i think i read somewhere the other day that they should be an aggresive team. so it will be interesting to see how the MF handles the pressure. i'm really really hoping to see them take control, and create chances...even if we don't have the guys to finish at the moment.

ETA: welp, this...

Looks like Adams left camp to return to RBL. Was really hoping to seem against a tougher opponent.
