I'm not mad about it because I'm desensitized to it.
But yeah, it's a bad thing. It's an immutable characteristic - isn't that what was pushed so hard for so long over people who wanted to call it unnatural? Well, the people pushing that fact won, and with that comes consequences IMO. Like, celebrating immutable characteristics is pretty fricking stupid, particularly when some are worth celebrating and some are arbitrarily deemed problematic (whiteness, masculinity, etc.).
But more importantly, it's bad to constantly emphasize group identity over the individual, especially when that group identity isn't particularly pluralistic in nature. You're either gay or you're an ally and you support everything promoted by pride (including all the inherently politically loaded themes) or you're a regressive piece of shite. That runs counter to 50 years of successful emphasis on judging people on merit, on character, on individual traits and actions. The move toward everyone being defined by their group identity is destructive, it puts us at odds based on things we don't control.
Not to mention this is particularly problematic when we're supposed to be playing on behalf of one, singular, overarching concept - the United States of America. We're going to pretty quickly lose the value of the national teams, much like you see in England, if this persists (and it will). They'll cease to be a unifying feature of American sports and it'll strip more and more fun out of international competition.

Yes, because straight white people have such a long, arduous history of being oppressed

Unfortunately we are pretty close to already being there.

Yeah I'm hopeful that we'll be on the downslope of this stuff (if only temporarily) by 2026 but that may be unrealistic and/or too late
I think the women's world cup stuff and the lawsuit really moved the decline along

What are you referring to with the England NT?

Pride month is so over the top in your face I feel like it's almost making people who didn't give a shite about gay people beforehand be sick of them.
I'm not gonna lose sleep over this, but i don't think they should have rainbow numbers.

Yeah, its basically 95% of the jersey... only the numbers are pride..

This stance is completely hypocritical. Let’s promote certain groups while insulting and silencing another. You are doing exactly what you are mocking dumbass.

What in the actual frick are you talking about? Are you saying being born a straight white dude in the US is not an inherent advantage? (spoiler: it is)
I get critically thinking is hard, but when certain people can't get married, literally get murdered for being who they are, etc... Bringing awareness to the community is necessary, especially with dickbags like you still part of the population

If a fricking color pattern on a number does that, then those people are part of the reason it's done... and frick them..

I'm sorry but it's hilarious to hear someone talk about bringing awareness to a community when the federal government is flying the flag and every major corporation in America is doing Pride events and branding.
"We need more awareness!" I hear over a background of a Madonna-themed McDonalds commercial talking about a 2-1 Pride special on Big Macs.
Awareness of what, exactly?

Continued discrimination and oppression?

Yes of course
Because aside from the federal government, the entirety of the entertainment industry, the entirety of mainstream media, the entire banking and finance industry, every large corporation and increasingly, every professional sports league - there aren't very many voices for the oppressed gay folks of the USA. Why just yesterday I saw a post on social media that didn't acknowledge Pride.
So much work to be done.

I could only imagine the outrage if the Dallas Cowboys wore rainbow helmets, but then again that’s not a “gay” sport to begin with.
Unfortunately the rainbow messaging makes our National Team look soft and continues the narrative that soccer is a “gay sport for pussies”. Like it or not.
