I'd agree, but Edu isn't exactly creative either, just a better defender. Maybe he should have started, but at this point you go for broke and try to score goals, not get more defensive.
Leave Torres, take out Findley, move Dempsey up top...Holden to the wing.
Probably bring in Spector too, for Gooch.

although it's cliche, it's almost never one person's fault in soccer though. these 2 goals were definitely team fail efforts.

i always say shite like this when im down a goal or 2 late. i play center mid and i play extremely offensive when losing and my center backs start bitching.
i just say id rather give up more goals trying to score than lose 2-0 trying to defend.

i'm not an avid follower but it sure looks to my untrained eye that even good things we do look like amateur hour. Even the teams that aren't as good as us make our passing look like a joke top to bottom. There's no cohesion and ball movement. I assume those things carry over in a general sense from Lacrosse, Hockey and Bball.

So far, in our last 4.5 WC games, we have been outscored 9-3. That is embarrassing enough. What's even more embarrassing is that 2 out of those 3 goals were pure luck (own goal v Italy and Dempsey/Green goal). We have no wins in this time frame and this trend looks to hold firm here.
