Queue the downvotes but Arfsten is not bad……. In the context of this team. I don’t get the hate? He’s not great don’t get me wrong, but he holds his own and we have way bigger probs.

The problem with Arfsten is he’s not a left back and we play him there when we could play Dest there with Freeman or Scally at right back.

Ok. Fair. But that’s not on him, other than the gold cup game he got smoked on D, I think he holds his own, yet everyone acts like he is the downfall of this team.

Speaking of Freeman, am I the only one beginning to like the idea of him on the field against most anyone we face?

He won’t start at the WC obviously, but I love the idea of needing a late goal and bringing him on for pace and physicality while pushing Dest farther up the pitch.

What do you think of having Dest Weah and Jedi all as options as wingbacks to rotate and maybe take someone like Fossey who I thought looked good the one time I saw him and maybe Weah can play left or right WB.

Edited to say this was in reply to someone saying they liked the 3 CB and that it’s been working for some reason.

It’s because you typed this after an assist. Wait till you watch him defend a good offensive player.

Better now. Japan started a weak roster but just put into their 3 best players like Mitoma.

We’ve controlled possession. Ream has looked good and started most of our best attacks by breaking the press and passing out of pressure. 2 really nice goals worth re watching a couple times.

Does anyone else feel like we play to the strengths of our weakest players with Poch. I feel like Pulisic has had so much less of the ball with him as the coach. I feel like some of what people would call our other “better” players haven’t really shined under him either.

I love McGlynn isn’t afraid to shoot

Freeman is a baller. Definitely has a higher ceiling than Scally imo
