The Men in Blazers World Cupcakes - Portgual v. USA edition

I love them so much.

Their rant about CR7 is awesome.

LINK

So according to this, Portugal played with the same backline in every Euro 2012 and all WC qualifiers. And now, Pepe, Coentrao & maybe Alves are out, not to mention they are replacing their GK, too.

Time to push their shite in.

Porto/ injury story from ESPN

Portugal defender Pepe is suspended after being red carded in the opening match, and forward Hugo Almeida, defender Fabio Coentrao and goalkeeper Rui Patricio have all been ruled out through injury. But Bento added he might be forced to make another alteration to his lineup.

That is huge. I'm sure they have practiced together a lot, but if this is their first game of any significance together there will be some miscommunication, etc. Plus, in the heat, their concentration may be a bit off

No they guys were gassed

The majority of the team is based out of Europe they have to go through the same thing our opponents do.

We didn't really hit a wall until the 75th minute or so, that's pretty normal. Portugal hit it pretty hard against Germany at about the 30th minute.
