30 minute pregame and a 9pm kick-off in a central time zone stadium.

CONCACAF gonna CONCACAF

I think the main issue is that both games are being played in the same stadium. So you have to finish the first game, clear the field, and let the other teams warm up before their game.

this doesn't cut it as an excuse for starting a central time zone game at 9 on a weeknight

You either have to start one too early, or one too late.

Being on the east coast, all I can say is if I see J Lewis or J Yuell in the XI, I’m going to bed.

I’ll watch the first half but probably bail after that if he plays them

so... chances that the US & Canada could be playing to lose in the group finale (depending on what happens in Mexico/El Salvador the day before)

We would have the upper hand there with having less goals right (assuming we don't outscore Canada through two games tonight)? We could draw and come in second.

I like the setup in that the top 8 CONCACAF teams that qualified for final round of WCQ all play each other in match day 3. Should have the 8 make the quarterfinals if Panama hold off Qatar.

At least we’re facing real competition the rest of the way, and get to see how capable of scoring goals we are tonight.

Would 5:45 or even 6:00 for the first game have been too early?

It’s not like many Kansas City natives are going to Canada-Haiti.

5-3-2?

Or a 4-3-3 with Sands at the 6 and Williamson as one of the wings?

Canada's at +5 GD right now... leading Haiti 3-1 in the 75th minute

US would need to beat Martinique by 4+ goals to make a draw give the USA the group win heading into Sunday

ETA: another PK and a red for Haiti

now the US needs 5+ vs. Martinique
