Agreed he definitely wasn’t advocating. He’s just explaining the legitimate monetary constraints on the new hire. Thought he did so in a reasonably balanced manner, but people will be peeved just bc.

Yeah I think Davies is actually onto something regarding the mindset of USSF.
They’ve completely caved to the women and it’s completely logical that the women would demand more if they shell out a bunch for a big name coach.

You’d think the USSF would want a big name hire and be willing to shell out a lot of money for the mens team considering they are hosting the mens World Cup which is about to give them a shite ton of money. Make it make sense ….

Bringing a mid (at best) coach like Gregg back at the expense of excellent young talent like Reyna is just crazy.
Truly hope they can smooth things over but even if they do, Gregg has shown he can easily be out coached in the big games. It just makes sense to go in a new direction.
