Oh I was only speaking for today's game, I definitely don't want Dempsey to start Sunday. I actually said on the previous page that I'd prefer Cameron at CDM if we had a better 3rd CB and neither wood or Dempsey start. Not sure we can run a 4-1-3-2 against Mexico in azteca

Just finished the game. All praise Pulisic. Nagbe was dynamic. I like what Ive seen from Acosta in his limited time.

Negatives: not clinical at all in first half. Villafana had waaaaayyyy too many crosses come in from his side. Bradley left too much space in front of the CBs in the first half. He seems to play a little slower than the rest of the midfield wants to attack too. Would like to see Acosta paired with him from the start at Azteca.

Carlos Salcedo limped off. Didn't see how bad it was, but he might not be ready to play on Sunday. We'll see.

On beIN, It's scoreless at Costa Rica, but they are down to 10 men. If Panama pull out the W there, we drop back down to 4th.

If Mexico is gonna win, they might as well help us by burying Honduras' goal differential to the point of no return.

Two goals in about 2 minutes will help with that

Someone needs to kill the announcer for the Mexico game.

Still not as annoying as Ramses Sandoval or whoever does the MLS games on UniMas this year.

Anyone retroactively even more pissed that Jurgen pushed Nagbe away and never rated Villafana?

I had this exact thought every time Nagbe touched the ball.

Awesome. Today went about as well as possible, then. We got our 3 points, but Panama and Honduras did not.

Panama got a point on the road in a place where we did not.

So now, we're only one point in front of them while we go to the Azteca and they host Honduras.

Costa Rica winning tonight would have been so much more ideal.

Dempsey is such a little bitch sometimes.

Yeah, that was not a good look for him tonight. I love Dempsey, but You can't show up a coach like that.

My observation:

With the exception of a couple minutes involving Puliscic and Altidore, it reminded me of a February match between Everton and Sunderland.

I just got to halftime. It could easily be 2-2 or 2-0 either way. Dempsey can't make an attacking pass in the final third for anything.

Stupid question, but was last night the first time that the US Soccer wore red? I recall red horizontal stripes but never solid red for the Soccer teams.
