@PaulCarr

Here's a good one...

Aaron Long is the first #USMNT defender with two goals in a game. EVER.

(Definitely in the modern era. And EVER, assuming lineups in the USMNT media guide are positionally accurate before the 1980s.)

Good time to bump all the Long over Miazga posts

Not after one good game. Better be that "dynamic player" over several matches that GB said he was in the post-match presser.

I’m definitely critical of Gyasi, we all know he has a donkey foot (and is constantly ridiculed for it), but he always plays hard, and I’m happy he was able to get his goals tonight. Shoulda had that hat trick though.

Been saying this, but everyone thinks because he’s 31 and white, it must mean that he is slow

His positioning and how he reads the game is elite level. It’s how he can be relevant in our system despite running his legs into the ground.

Yep. He IS slow, but that doesn’t mean he can’t read the game, and find space.

I’ve been against Bradley since the T&T fiasco (probably that whole campaign actually),and never wanted to see him again after the failure, but after seeing some of the other options I do realize he still provides a service.

Watched the game late last night. Good performance. That’s what we should be doing against teams like that.
- Boyd and Pulisic were both menaces. T&T could not stay with them.
- McKennie was a monster in the MF on both ends. He played some great balls last night and was constantly disrupting any rhythm or attacks T&T tried to build. Does anyone else feel he gets called for fouls just because he’s stronger and wins a 50/50 over a guy who went in just as hard but happened to lose?
- I’m not going to let Zardes’ 2 goals distract me that he was still shite most of the game. It was by far a better game by him but that’s a low bar. I will credit him nice finish on the second goal. And high comedy on his three misses in 5 seconds not long after.
- Lima continues to show he’s a capable RB. And my god I didn’t realize how short that dude was until I saw him in line for the anthem

ever since soccer got "small" about 12 years ago this has driven me insane. strength is punished. heavily

Two downvot3s isn't exactly a deluge, but I agree. I will say though, he played a damn good match beginning to end last night.

He was the best choice, jozy was on another planet last night. I think that’s everyone’s frustration though. When your first choice is still underwhelming, and the second choice is even more so... if the spectrum is from Bradley to Trapp, and Trapp is not only on the team but getting minutes, it means we have a long way to go.

Jozy played fine in limited minutes... had that awful touch in the box, but also sprung Morris open on that ridiculous flick off the throw to set up Arriola's goal.

I wonder how many guys we rest on Wednesday.

We really lucked out with our draw with both Mexico and Costa Rica on the other side of the bracket. The strongest team's on our side are Jamaica and Panama, so it doesn't really matter if we finish 1st or 2nd in our group.

Would like to Lewis get some run on the left.

Would be cool to see Lima at LB and Cannon at RB, but we should probably save that experimentation for friendlies.

Zardes should'v taken a ball to the face a long time ago if it was going to turn him into a goal scoring machine.

Just wanted to point out that Cannon had a great pass to McKennie that led to our 6th goal (McKennie one-timed it, keeper saved it, Long chested in the rebound).
