I would feel more confident if we had a coach who understood tactics.

In the recent MIB podcast, Rog asks Herc Gomez about Jurgen's tactics and Herc deflected on that question so hard. Now, to be fair, he also said that Jurgy is a master-motivator and has the ability to pull the best effort out of his players with his positivity.

Essentially, Jurgen is the soccer version of Dale Brown.

Or if, you know, we brought more than 1 RB to the tournament with us. Crazy thought

Well, we originally did, but he dropped out due to injury.

This game has a lot higher chance of needing a boost in attack via nagbe/pulisic. I don't think we're gonna be winning enough to unleash a zusi/becker defensive stall worth

All Copa stadiums have grass.

He fails on the motivation part, too.

I thought they did that for the Panama game we played there, but I could be wrong. I don't remember it all that well.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I was genuinely curious. It looks like there will be a temporary grass field laid down.

To me, ESPN always kills it with these international tournaments. The broadcasts, the studio stuff, the picture, better commentators and tv personalities.

The ONLY problem I have is Taylor Twellman...I hate that dude...he fricking annoys me to no end. The other day he was on set with Ballack and acts like they are BFF's...Ballack just kinda looks at him like WTF

Other than that, you're spot on...ESPN kills it.

It's just painful to see the product that ESPN is putting out for a tournament overseas compared to the product Fox is putting out for a tournament on their home turf and think that the latter has the world cup.

So true. His commentary skills have been discussed ad nauseam on here lately. It's pretty painful to watch. The one silver lining about Fox's Copa coverage is that he's not involved. JP & Friedel are fine. Friedel isn't the greatest, but he at least doesn't get on my nerves. It's got to the point where Twellman is a distraction when I'm trying to enjoy the games. Surprisingly enough though, he's not awful in studio. The dynamic between TT, Ballack, and the GAWD Bob Ley is pretty funny.
