Is it just me or is it weird to hear Javier talking in a soprano? Sounds like a girl.

If you're being serious, it's like a mini world cup held in the host country as kind of a pre-opening event for the actual thing.

Most of the top teams qualify, unless your Tahiti and bullshite your way in.

Hell I guess I don't know what it is either

It's just absolutely incredible how we are either REALLY good, or super shitty since Jurgen has taken over.

Really good? What? When?

Yeah, it's like a milestone tracker pretty much, especially for a USMNT coach. We should be in there and will now have missed the last two.

The last one we played in was South Africa in 2009, I believe. We beat Spain and also hung with Brazil in the final and ultimately lost 4-3 I believe.

It's a big deal.

Is it like the odd years of World Cup? Like if World Cup is 2020 this would be 2018?

I'd consider our run up to qualifying for Brazil as being "in form". We also looked pretty damn good in the World Cup. Since then we've sucked balls for the most part though.

It will be in 2017 in Russia. Held a year before the World Cup. The Euro's are the tournament that is two years before the WC.

You should ask these questions outside of a game thread we just lost to Mexico.

The soccer board would be happy to help you out, but now is a pretty inopportune time. This would be like asking how conference scheduling is determined minutes after LSU lost to Bama.

There was no Bedoya tonight, but he would have been there.

Frick Mexico. There isn't a team I hate more in any sport on this planet.
