So is it better what Pefok did since mid-September? Sure, the bundesliga is better comp, but he scored no goals while auditioning for a spot on the roster thay was designated to score goals.
Considering we had 26 spots, I would’ve used one of them for a 4th striker, which would’ve been Pefok for me, but a lot of people are acting like he is some silver bullet, when he’s just… not.

So Morris over Pefok?

I’d take Pefok, but I’d have more faith in Haji than him.

Haji is putting up better stats than Ferreira, with more consistency, against slightly better competition.
He is in form and very productive.
His complete lack of familiarity with 85 percent of the team is a far bigger reason he might have been a bad call-up.

This doesn’t bother me considering he was part of that same residency program with Pulisic, Adams, Mckennie and he has a 4-match camp under his belt.

Outside of Weah, who else has the pace to stretch the field vertically? Morris is a fine pick.
This is why Morris will be there. He was also one of the fastest players in MLS this year. Arriola would have been there if not for his late injury I think (was there even an injury?). In any case, Morris is the better athlete and I think that’s where Arriola struggles the most. He’s just not physical enough. Morris has the speed and physicality to potentially be a goal threat off the bench at the WC.

I couldn’t disagree more. Morris is your basic, static MLS player who won’t threaten anyone.

Some serious buzzwords in there

Who would you replace him with? Who else do we have who can play a similar role?

The moral of this whole story is we still do not produce enough good players at the national team level.

I would of brought in Pefok and also used Josh as cover on the wing. Josh plays the wingover 50% of the time at Norwich. Morris had an average year in the MLS this season.

Malik Tillman shows more signs of creativity. But greggg is going to choose his guys.

So greggg rates Pefok as our 8th best forward if you think he would have chosen Pepi as the next pick behind the 6 going.

After sleeping on roster and consuming some content, listening/reading some criticism of it all...
I'm fairly happy with the team

The game this year where they gave him the ball to take the penalty should ease your mind on that. They consider him part of their group, which is probably a big reason he got called in too.

Which is why he chose Arriola and Steffen, and left off Wright and Ream.

For most of these last spots it is splitting hairs. I'm just more frustrated that some of these guys haven't been involved with the team in quite a long time and that falls on Gregg

I agree with that, his comments on calling up Ream don't make sense.

My guess is he was talked into it.
