Group E for the Champions League this year...

Napoli is the club we got out of pot 2 (which is fine by me)

Overall, you have to like our draw for the group.
Napoli should be tough, but RB Salzburg and Genk should be light work. Also, no long trips to Russia/Ukraine.

Salzburg won't be a pushover. Marsch has them playing well.

No, but there were far worse teams out of that pot we could have drawn

I would think Salzburg is in the bottom half of the pot 3 teams but can’t say I’m well versed in Austrian, Greek, and Belgian soccer.

Salzburg has won their first 5 games on the season and have a +19 GD. Haland will likely be sold for a lot of money soon. 19 years old and has 7 goals through 5 games. I think he recently killed it at the U20 WC.

It’s insane that after 13/14 SSS year that as a Pool fan you just wanted to avoid the big guns, hope for a good draw so you could get thru to the knockouts and you’d have felt good about it.

It’s weird that five years later, I’m like I don’t care. Line us up against anyone. Doesn’t matter. Give us three other pot a teams. Doesn’t make me nervous.

How much difference does a coach with a plan make? Wow

Yeah, the only team I really wanted to avoid was Madrid... other than that I was confident in playing anyone

Yesssssss boiiiii I’m broke as all get out and still probably gonna order one.

Weird question but does anyone have this year’s and last year’s kits? Is the fit the same as last year’s?

I do and my impression is that the chest and length are comparable but, for some reason, I find the neck/collar to be a little tighter. Maybe its just the differing collar style this year or something.

How do the dudes on Sirius radio follow
five different leagues around the world
I like to hear soccer talk so my like level is pretty low
But the can comment on players from Ajax to Real Salt Lake and seem to know what they are saying. Then again I cant really fact check them. When they discuss the EPL they seem to get it right.

I know a few of the guys on there call MLS games on the local broadcasts (one guy does RSL, another does Philly). Otherwise, it's just watching a lot of games, multiple games at a time. Probably a little easier when it's your job to pay attention to what's going on.

Also probably watch a lot of extended highlights instead of full games.

The OLSC in Austin goes to BD Riley's (the one on Aldrich Street iirc)... I went for a match in the spring, it was a good atmosphere

Not getting a good vibe from this match right now... I mean I don't think Burnley can keep this pressure up for 90 minutes, but we're kinda lacking something today early on
