Not much time for it to progress in August because the EPL window closes on August 9.

Give Charlotte credit, the pitch at Bank of America Stadium was immaculate.

Lallana has been really poor from what I've seen. He needs to be bossing these types of games, otherwise we need to upgrade and move on.

Clear cut penalty won by jones but I think Fabinho gave one up as well.

Please don’t try to tell me how much more Origi can contribute to this squad than Solanke.

PLEASE.

lol... dude you're arguing over 2 players who will most likely only be counted on to contribute during cup games...

Neither are very good..

I understand why you prefer Solanke.. And I understand if we keep him over Origi (he's had his chance). A few happen to prefer Origi on the bench (at this time).. Nothing I saw tonight changes that...

The way it looks, Origi will be sold this summer... If he doesn't improve in a hurry, Solanke will likely follow in a year or two..

A positive from last night... Mane and Salah look like they are picking up right where the left off last season... They were electric on the pitch... didn't look rusty at all..

Even though it was a fairly depleted side in Man City, they did look great. Salah coming on seemed to really free up Mane. Can’t wait to see this squad at full strength.

ETA: admittedly was a little bummed to see VVD get beat for that goal, hopefully it’s just a little pre season rust.

Not worried at all. It's hot and humid AF for these guys and he had been playing the whole game.

Nothing close to what they're used to and you know no one is going balls out to close someone down in a summer friendly.

True.

I’d have to think in an actual match he slides or contests that run more. As you mentioned, no one is going to go all out for preseason exhibition match. It was also a very good through ball and finish too.

Just think when we get Salah, Mane, Firmino and Keita on the same pitch giving a full go... God that's going to be fun
