Might be an unpopular take, and I’m not saying we should do it...but depending on who’s available, I don’t hate the idea of letting Mane go. He’s had some brilliant moments, but his mediocre ones seem to be more plentiful as of late.

United spent most of the match with 11 behind the ball. They played classic Jose ball. Only producing 1 shot on target is still frustrating though.

We need a forward real bad. No way should Origi see the field on a title challenging team.

He'd be the one I'd get rid of if we're getting rid of one... I mean he's a good player, but he's kinda selfish sometimes which goes against how we play

If we get rid of Mane we better replace him with similar pace because he usually is the one to open up space for others.

Mane isn’t going anywhere fellas

Yeah, we don't need to sell any of them. We just need to offload dead weight like Lallana and bring in some actual competition.

I wasn't saying he was fwiw... Just that if we did decide to change up the front 3, I'd advocate for him to be the one moving on

Yeah Mane and Salah were terrible today
Back-line was solid.
MF was solid. Hell, Fabs and Gini played great and Hendo didn't do anything wrong as far as I could see.
Front-line was an utter failure.

I know this. Was just being dramatic and spitballing. Mane just has to be better, too often he gives the ball away cheaply or dribbles into defenders. Same applies to Salah.
Honestly, I think Bobby going out early hurt Mane and Salah. Need Bobby’s creativity to feed them.
Oh well, on to the next match.
ETA: MU played well defensively too. Can’t take that away from them. Shaw was frustrating.

frick that.. Mane should go nowhere!
We do need someone (or two) that is of starting quality to push the front 3.. These guys cant be complacent that they are in the automatic 11..

Good God boys Mane?! That would be a “no” to letting him go. We need another wing and Harry. Definitely need a creative mid to unlock defenses. And Ox coming back along with a much more relaxed Keita.

Not that I think he is starting quality, but I look forward to Brewster in the roster. He can bring pace off the bench.
Mane and Salah run defenders all day long but we bring on two guys who don’t test the defenders’ legs at the end.

We need a goal scorer in the midfield, relying solely on front 3 individual brilliance when you have no plan B (no set piece goal threat, no goal off the bench threat, no midfield goal threat, etc..) is killing us. Biggest thing missing since Coutinho left.
That MF pairing may be our best, but there is no creativity, no goals, not much attacking threat at all..

I have known all season that Bobby is the most important player to our attack. That was underlined today.
I am BEYOND pissed with Mane. It is time for Klopp to have a chat with him about his attacking third play. He either gets selfish and dribbles into defenders as stated above, or passes simply in order to set himself up on a 1-2.
He has been a great scorer this year, but we are getting to the point that his careless passing will cost us the title. I love Mane, but he has not been great in any facet aside from scoring this second half of the season.
With how great our midfield has been, it is inexcusable for our front three to be in a slump.
Tired legs are definitely a contribution to the suckage right now. Our midfield has played so hard it seems like they can't deliver accurate crosses anymore. Not enough power or too much power on just about every single one. We can't get Ox back soon enough.
With ALL of that said, we are still clear at the top of the table. There's a tough run of matches coming, but we definitely need to change SOMETHING to maintain position at the top looking down.

“It looks good. We were obviously lucky. It will be very close tomorrow but big chance for the derby” - Klopp on Bobby
Extremely lucky! I think we could have scraped by on Wednesday but wouldn’t have felt very good about anything last then.

Be nice for the MF to contribute a goal every now and then and provide better service to our front 3. If the MF scored consistently and played passes through the defense (I know, its hard when 11 are behind the ball) the front 3 would be producing much more.

I agree as far as goals, but the service has been pretty damn good until recently. I think everyone in this thread has had the same gripe all year in general, and that is production/finishing when our front 3 have the ball.

Alleged lineup has been leaked on twitter:
Alisson
Trent-Matip-VVD-Robbo
Gini - Fabinho - Keita
Shaq - Salah - Mane
If this is the case we better be up going into the final half hour, because there ain't much on the bench!
