At this point, I'll gladly take another CB that's equal to Lovren just for depth and competition since it's obvious that we're fine with Sakho rotting away with the U23s.

I doubt it means anything, but there's that slim chance that selling him means a VVD move is in the cards in the next few hours I guess... Not getting my hopes up but we'll see

I'll make this quick. No CB, transfer window is a failure. It is completely shocking that we will have Lovren as 1st choice again. VVD isn't the only CD in world football; FML

Salah was a great signing.
Solanke is a great prospect
Ox is the equivalent of a utility infielder
We did not address our only dire need. We're competing on 4 fronts with Ragnar Klavan our top choice off the bench at CB. Emre Can is 5th in line. I really don't understand it. It's just waving the white flag. When the dust settle we didn't even submit a bid for a center back. Mind boggling.

I'll add Robertson looks to be a fine LB prospect for the future... This CB situation is really odd to me

The spine of your team has to be solid if you really want to be serious contenders. Top 4, yeah it's achievable, win the prem, hahahaha. Not that I'm saying getting VVD or another CD makes us title challengers, but it sure would help.

It does though. We've got the best attack in the league, we're a decent defense away from being a legitimate title threat.

But that's exactly what I'm saying, like the two above said, VVD would make us a legit contender... Right now we're a top 4 club, and if we can stay that way through January and get VVD there's no reason we couldn't push on to what we want to do

In retrospect, I'm kinda wishing we just sold Phil and brought Lemar in this summer... Even at that outrageous price.. just to be done and keep moving forward..
