120M pounds wasn't the offer... it was 120M euros
Then that's still £109.2m. Still put the bottom line at £130 and go from there.

And I was mistaken... according to Goal and Melissa Reddy, the last Barca offer was 100M euros.

And, if memory finally serves, that 100M was more like 85M plus 15M in "potential" add-ons.
Like I said, Barca wants their Coutinho Cake and they want to (low-ball) eat it too.

Barca saw two bids swiftly batted away for the 25-year-old, the last of which was tabled in midweek and totalled €100 million.

he'll have forever lost the fans on this. play like Luis did in 13/14 and he'll win them back and then we will send him off with well wishes next summer!..
I think the difference here is that Suarez had spoken for a long time of his dreams, we knew we were likely to only get one more year for him, and he was clearly the force behind our being good. He was above our level, and without him, we were definitively not as good. As such, it was hard to blame him. He was arguably the best playing the world that last year for us.
Phil is great - but he's not at that level. He's not "above us" as a player -especially with the improvements we're making as a squad. He'll be seen different, just my opinion.

Just watched Pearce. It is a formal transfer request sent via email to Edwards. FSG has firmly rejected it. Pearce had a good point, this comes as a "total shock" from the Cou camp. Reject that shite and make him play. If he can't play for fricking Jurgen Klopp than good luck to you.

And make Barca pay out the nose next year.

His was arguably worse, though... He was pushing for a move to one of our EPL rivals.. Arsenal...
Playing well and winning cures a lot... thats all Im saying..
I'll always love Phil... just a little more if he stays another year...
Give the #10 to Mané !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another way to look at it, can we move Bobby back to his more natural position and go after a traditional #9 as a replacement???
Ive had too much coffee this morning!!!!

This actually makes a lot of sense... But I hope all of this is irrelevant and Cou doesn't go anywhere until next summer

While that sounds great in theory, Klopp has clearly favored the 4-3-3 rather than the 4-2-3-1 required for Bobby to be in his natural position. I don't know if its because he doesn't feel we have a good enough #9 or if its because he feels the midfield needs 3 in it.

yeah, It's going to be an interesting couple of weeks... I'm gonna go on a run and try and not think about it...
I will be in Barcelona in a couple of weeks and will piss on the Camp Nou for the soccer board family

yeah, its just me throwing things out there at this point... our current personnel def fits a 433 better... Bobby just isn't a trad #9
He did say earlier this summer we will use multiple formations though... and obviously he is very familiar with 4231
Ive always preferred 433 myself...

frick Phil for pulling this shite the day before the season starts. Could have put one in three fricking weeks ago, but decided to wait till now. That's garbage

Anyone else not give a frick about Spanish football?
Posted on 8/11/17 at 10:07 am to JLock
I know today has been and down, but let's say this transfer winds up happening. You have to go after Pulisic, right?
Posted on 8/11/17 at 10:09 am to McCaigBro69
Not my first choice... but I'd have him...
Posted on 8/11/17 at 10:32 am to TFTC
So if Phil leaves, that leaves us with 4 midfielders for the next three months doesn't it?
Posted on 8/11/17 at 11:12 am to JLock
If Phil leaves and we don't buy anyone we're in trouble. I don't see how we let him go without bringing someone in. I would bet he stays until next summer.
Posted on 8/11/17 at 11:15 am to JLock
Assuming we don't bring someone in... But if they're going to let Phil go this summer (which I doubt), I assume they'd bring in at least one CM if not more than one
Posted on 8/11/17 at 11:26 am to Tigerfan7218
Welp, this is a shitty day
I can't hate him, it's just a shitty situation. Can we get Barca for tapping up

Sure you can. If he does this a month ago, we aren't in this position.
