I will say - both link up with the other players fairly well - and I would rather both than Origi.
But yea I think we have 3 guys on the roster that are basically best as third options and for occasional spot starts. That’s not counting Rhian Brewster who has done well before his injury and supposedly is gonna be making the jump to get more practice time with the first team next year.
Think we have a similar dilemma with Ojo and Wilson on loan. I actually like both of them, and I think it would be nice to keep one in loan for some occasional time and spot starts, but they also are probably not good enough to be relied on as a spark off the bench.

Yep.
I wish Origi well but I'm done with him as a Red. Klopp's first partial season, he did pretty good. But then he came back a lot bigger and has been that size ever since. Doesn't have near the mobility and ability to press that Klopp needs on his front line.
He became a Benteke Jr.

and Wilson on loan
Wilson has been doing well enough in the Championship that I would like for him to get some game time next year. Or maybe be loaned out to a PL team that will play him some.
Ojo - similar to Ibe imo - has the physical tools but isn't developing enough to be Liverpool quality. Still time on him, but its waning.
Also - I wanted to chime in on the Milner thing - Milner is a lot slower after 60 minutes than he is in the first half - and that's when he's only playing once a week. He's also playing a lot of games right now. I expect him to get a yellow today because of late challenge and I worry that he'll be late closing some space down. But you also never count out James @#$@# Milner.
I hope/assume they are resting him for some of the practices, etc. But I wish beyond belief that we had someone that could come on for him at '60 today.

Can't believe the free-fall you guys are having. Wish I had the money to take on your debt because damn - that's a club that should be mid-table (8-14th) most years if run remotely competently.
Maybe we'll have some other players we can loan you in League 1?

Lopped confirms Can is done for the year.
Hendo, Milner, Ox, and Gini best knuckle down.

Most important man on the pitch today for me?
No, not Mohammed Salah.
VIRGIL VAN DYKE. And right behind him (in order): Lovren, Karius, TAA, Robbo, and Gini.
Yes, an away goal will and would be ideal, but in the worst possible circumstances offensively for us, MC *still* need to score 3. I have no illusion that we will or should "park the bus" and I actually think that would be a bad idea. That's not Liverpool. That's not Klopp. Being on the front foot is an aspect of our defense actually.
But we have to make them earn whatever they get. No easy goals. God forbid any horrible defensive errors.
Accomplish this and we move on. Its VVD's time to step up onto the world stage as the world-class player that he is.

We’ve got to stay healthy in MF. ALLEZ!

So, if one of our CMs gets hurt today, who goes in? Woodburn?

Starting XI for today
Good to see Robertson is healthly enough to get the start.
I think if we see an injury in MF we'll see TAA move there and Clyne come in on the back line

Clyne I guess? Maybe Moreno?

or maybe a back 3, bring Klavan in...

Surprised that Aguero seemingly is still not healthy enough to start. Jesus was a non-factor in Game 1 amidst our tall trees.

I hate that these semi-final matches are played simultaneously.

He started over the weekend against United. I bet we’ll see him subbed on
