Agreed. Take the point, continue their non-winning streak against us. Move on to more important games.
I'm a bit worried that Gini had to play the full 90, but maybe it was good practice for Tuesday. At least Milner only had to play 60 and Ox will be fairly rested.
I'm not a fan of Ings playing the wing. I would have maybe rathered for 4-4-2 with Ings and Solanke as the forwards, but we got the point.

yeah... much like Bobby, he needs to play centrally... anyway, we go again on Tuesday... nick a goal and they'll need 5 to go through... took the day off!

He didn't play much during the week, only when Salah came off.
I'm good with him getting the full 90, would have been nice to Sub him but he's younger than Milner.
Want him starting instead of Hendo. I think he'll be ready to go.

Well, Hendo can't play Tuesday, so its either Gini or Milner.
From the looks of today, likely Gini.

Gini deep Milner and Ox going forward. There’s kind of nobody else!!

Cards?
Travelled all last week for work, was lucky to watch but haven't kept up in detail.
If so, addition by subtraction. Gini is better and can play that position fine. Not like Hendo is some kind of defensive rock, his tackling and closing down has fallen off big time the last 1-2 years.

City with two emotionally draining matches and our second leg in less than a week... played out pretty well for us today, I think...

I was watching that match and thinking the same thing. The last thing we needed was them running riot and gaming that swagger back.

I was just reading that we have lost the same amount of games as City in all comps this season.. 6
Crazy stat..
Of course, the draws... the draws!

Yep.
On a relative-performance basis, I liked Hendo going forward more than I do his playing the 6. Similarly, I really liked Gini playing the 6 more than I have his going forward.

The Gini experiment is interesting at the #6... The one thing I like is ability to drive the ball up the field from a deep position... the jury is still out on his positional awareness, etc..
Ive never been in love with Hendo at the 6.. always liked him better as a B2B, but his injuries have taken a toll... I'd still keep him as a squad player... ultimate pro and is versatile..
The way our forwards like to run onto balls, a Jorginho type would be great (#6) and I'm beginning to really think Ox can be the third MF'er with Naby... Hendo/Milner/Gini as rotation... Grujic on loan again (hopefully in the EPL)... to me Lallana is the odd man out... I'd sell him, though not opposed to keeping him around for depth...
I'd also consider buying James Maddison from Norwich City...

I can definitely see a Jorghino/Ox/Keita midfield next year. I also think we spend big on a partner for VVD along with a young winger.

I saw an article linking us to Koulibaly today...
I doubt there's anything to it...
I'd go all in for Werner.. can play across all front 3 positions...
We have no one I have faith in, at the #9, past Firmino...

Chelsea's draw today allowed us to hold serve for top 4... 5 matches to go and a 10 point lead.. they have a game in hand + we play them...
Posted on 4/8/18 at 12:38 pm to TFTC
Of our remaining matches, we have Bournemouth, Stoke, and Brighton all at home. As long as we handle our business in those then we’re good

Agreed... just need to get some players back healthy and avoid any more injuries..
Any word on when Can is back?

There's some speculation out there that he's done for the season... Not sure it's entirely reliable, but would be a huge blow if it is

Koulibaly and VVD would be some scary shite.

So, if you judiciously count that game in hand as 3 points, we only need 8 pts from our last 5 games to guarantee top 4.

on a more down note, we are being linked with Fellaini (on a free - three yr deal)
