I can't believe StraightCash hasn't chimed in on this.

Can someone explain to me why at 9:19 the high boot isn't a caution or an ejection? Is it because its in the box?

I didn't know which one you were talking about tbh... Both teams have a derby this weekend, figured you knew ours was away and didn't know where the manchester one was

Injury Updates

Liverpool are hopeful that Mohamed Salah will be fit for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Manchester City - but Emre Can is certain to miss out.

Our midfield will be interesting....

The Mirror is reporting that Can may be out for the rest of the season (which could likely end his Liverpool career).

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpools-emre-can-miss-rest-12311699

The Liverpool and Germany midfielder's back injury is far worse than originally thought and he could have already kicked his last ball for the Anfield giants.

Now, just looking at that site, I get the feeling that The Mirror might be shite and thus be a shite source.

But, hypothetically, if Can *is* out for the return leg against Man City, who plays the 6? Milner? Gini?

Personally, I love love LOVE Milly's contribution to the press and the offense, so I'd hate to see him moved back to cover the back line. And I think Gini's contributions to the offense is negligible anyway and that he could probably take the covering role and be at least adequate at it.

Damn these late season injuries.

Pearce said they’re hopeful Can won’t be out for the rest of the season, but you never know since there’s basically just a month left.

Gini I imagine will play deeper. He did in preseason and I believe he’s done it before earlier this season.

I think you have to play Woodburn against Everton to get some kind of rotation

We need Milner, Ox and Gino ready to run their asses off on Tuesday. Besides Hendo what the hell is the midfield going to look like at Goodison?

Let's just play 3 at the back and have a midfield 2... OH, what's that you say? We don't have any options at CB right now either

frick it, 5 up front

I could be just making this up but I swear I read somewhere that bogh Woodburn and Brewster weren’t fit to be on the bench in the 1st leg. Of course it could be resolved but idk. I just hate the idea of any of Milner, Ox, or Gini playing tomorrow although it seems impossible that all 3 can rest

They’re just going to have to run like frickin hell on Tuesday under immense pressure, and if they were to play tomorrow that means the 2nd leg would be their 3rd game in 6 days

Just saw Woodburn was out. I knew Brewster was out after his ankle injury, but damn, everything’s just adding up now. We’re basically just gonna have to play the same 3, 3 games in less than a week with the exception of Henderson

NBC saying we're still in a 4-3-3 with Klavan at LB... Moreno isn't in because he apparently hurt himself in warm up

We have enough on pitch to win this, I believe.

Interestingly though, I also believe that roles are kinda reversed in that we need to definitely ensure that THEY don’t nick an early goal and the longer the match goes scoreless the more frustrated they will be.
