Good thing it's done with Kompany going out early in the first half today...
Bottom line, if we don't stump up £75mm, he's in powder blue on 1/12 and not in red... so stoked!
I just hope everyone gives him the time its going to take to get acclimated to the team...

I can tell you the exact second I knew I wanted Van Dijk.
It was the first Southampton match last year at St. Mary's Park that ended 0-0 and Mane got a pass at some point in the game that broke him free down the right side of the pitch... and Van Dijk ran him down from behind and stopped the play.

Ive wanted him since his Celtic days... thought he was well worth the fee.. He just had it all then, though he hadn't been tested in a tough league, so there was a risk...
Thought it was a mistake when LVG left him out of the 2014 WC squad...
