A win vs Portugal or Germany gets us through.
Lets win the damn game.
I hope J.K. gets em fired up and tells them screw Ronaldo, lets win this shyt.

First tiebreaker is Goal Differential...
Followed by total goals scored in group...
Then Head to Head.

Because advancing is more about how you did in all three matches in your group and using a tiebreaker that is solely dependent on the results of one match isn't as good an indicator as a team's goal differential or total goals scored which are more indicative of how a team performed in their group as a whole.

It's not as simple as head to head. Goal differential would come in to play first.

Yeah, this is simplifying it a little, but in this scenario, we can't possibly beat Ghana on goal difference. We're +1 right now, so a loss to Portugal would put us even at best, which would stay the same if we tie Germany. Ghana is -1 right now, and a win over Portugal would make them at least even.
Since we can't win on goal difference in this scenario, the only way for us to advance is to get the tiebreaker to goals scored. If that's also tied, we will advance based on head-to-head against Ghana.

Yes but let's go ahead and assume we lose to Germany (lowering our GD by at least 1).
If Ghana beats Portugal by 1, they draw even. Beat them by 2, and they advance.
If we are going to lose to Germany, we need to lose well.
