They're usually placed above the crest on a jersey. As for putting them on the crest itself, that didn't stop us on our last one.

I don't mind too much, it's simple and quiet (though I think the lettering could have been made to look better), but the centennial badge was goat!

There are many federations that have stars within their crests that haven't won a World Cup. Many nations use stars as national symbols. I don't see anything wrong with it.

And holy fricking shite that is an eyesore. Those are a disgrace.
These French home jerseys are my absolute favorite. Especially the blue polo with white collar. So simple and amazing. Reminds me of the centennial kits.
