I would immediately leave the US, fill out the paperwork, and become the newest Jogo de Bicho kingpin if I was you.

I believe they're called "Puerto Ricans" up there.

That too, ha. I was friends with a Filipino photographer when I lived up there. People always thought he was Puerto Rican when he was in NYC, Cuban when in Miami, and Mexican when in LA.

I personally would never wear another country's jersey.

I'm willing to allow it if you (or maaaaaaybe your parents) were born elsewhere.

"I spent two weeks in France in college, so now I'm a Les Bleus fan" or "my last name ends in a vowel, so I'm an Italy fan" seems like you're trying to hard.

I have a 2010 Yaya Toure, 2006 Schweinsteiger, and a 2014 Neymar.

Never worn them but I like to keep 1 kit from the host nation squad. Yaya is the exception obviously. I couldn't find a Surprise Moriri jersey so I just went with my favorite African player.

I thought about getting a Germany jersey 8 years ago when one of their players at the time shared my last name, but I didn't do it.

Reasons to own another country's jersey
1. Citizen/resident of that country
2. Family/Ancestry
3. Study abroad/travel there
4. Favorite club player
5. Fashion
6. They're playing against Mexico

I have a Ronaldinho Brazilian jersey I got for ten bucks at Copacabana when I went there. It's a counterfeit but looks identical and I used to wear it a good bit. Its too small for me now.

I have a Germany jersey that I will not wear unless the USA is knocked out. I support Germany but nowhere near as much as the USA and never at the US's expense.

I don't think it matters as long as you support USA above all.

I own
3 different USA Jerseys
Newcastle United Jersey
Messi FCB Jersey
Italian Jersey
Brazil jersey my step-dad got me from Brazil

But I will only wear the USA jersey when the USA plays
