The issue is our managers and fans think it’s ok to actually base roster selections and starters on mls performance.

Like fricking ferraira scores against Nashville fc so he should start against the Netherlands. Or make the roster. Utter absurdity

This, all day long.

I have to imagine USSF and MLS have some agreements to feature at least some MLS guys. That's the only thing that makes sense.

The CB pairing is another issue. Starting Ream and Zimmerman at CB is both a sign of Gregg being a dumdum and our woes at the position.

strongly disagree with this take. It's building. It takes time. Our system of bringing up players was absolute garbage until recently. There are still improvements to be made, but we have guys playing across all top leagues now.

Yep. If we continue to identify and develop talent the way we have recently and get them to Europe for the next 10-15 years we will make up some serious ground. But right now, we’re about 60-70 years behind powerhouses like Brazil, NED, Spain, Germany, France.

Striker is the only thing missing once we get rid of Berhalter.

Need more depth in the midfield to ever be able to compete over the course of a long tournament.

And we need more offensive creativity and capability from Mckennie and/or musah.

Zimmerman messed up on the first goal trying to mark and man that Ream already had running across the box and left the center exposed

As far as CBs go Austin Trusty could be one.

I listen to diff Arsenal podcasts and the word is he’s looked good on loan in England.

I know I keep pumping Arsenal players but I only know them because of Arsenal and there are people out there that keep up with all the youth guys and guys out on loan.

You put that first goal on Zim more than on Adams failing to track a runner? Gonna disagree here boss.

Trusty has been excellent, but it’s been in a back three. Will be interesting to see if he can ever make it at Arsenal.

How much depth do you expect in the midfield? Gio and BA are both very capable at playing midfield positions. We need someone stronger than Acosta but he is a serviceable DM backup to Adams.

Needs
As stated Striker, CB, another LB, another CDM. A manager who can figure out how to best use the talent we have. Another meaning more than what we have. Adams and Jedi are good but they need backups.

Ideally more than the zero midfield depth we had in this World Cup. The inability to spell MMA in the group stage was a problem today.
