One thing I love about England soccer stadiums. A lot of them seem to be in neighborhoods.

Fulham's stadium is like this. Even Arsenal to an extent.

The Emirates is sort of out of place. Highbury fits into the neighborhood perfectly.

I aw Chelsea @ Fulham and felt like I was lost walking through neighborhoods and voila...the stadium/crowds appeared.

Most of them are in neighborhoods even the new ones

makes the experience much better than american sports.

It's really cool when the stadiums are in neighborhoods even if I wouldn't say many of the one's pictured "fit" from any kind of architectural standpoint.

I know people use public transit, but the complete lack of parking lots is crazy to me as a US sports fan.

edit for clarification: I don't think there is anything wrong with a lack of parking areas, the crazy thing is the culture's lack of reliance on cars.

lack of tailgating areas is off putting but its really nice to see stadiums that arent surrounded by a sea of concrete.

It reminds me of how many college football stadiums that are in the middle of campus.

The Brits don't understand tailgating.

This was Swansea's attempt:
