All fair points that I agree with. I should be more patient with Firmino & Can.

Character, yes, but also a complete lack of familiarity within the squad. Watford have been healthy all year, and have stuck to a single gameplan. The cohesion was evident today.

Firmino is a total waste of time. Lallana is just lallana. Can tries to do way to much in the middle and needs to play simpler. Lucas is a complete waste of time. He gave away the ball in the middle on the second goal and made a terrible second effort. Countinho is either really good or really really bad. I'd be happy to sell him for 60mil to barca. Don't even get me started on benteke. Terrible buy always IMO. Doesn't work well off the ball and just waits for long balls or something he can head. Our best player by far this year has been Moreno. The dude is everywhere. Clyne is good but the man needs a break. He's played every game minus like 2 this year. Sakho was just bad today but I still have faith.

I by no means blame these losses on klopp. This is the players that BR has left him and they're shite. He's going to sell them all. I have a very serious feeling we will have a completely different team come next year and I'm completely happy with that

As we were the last year. And the year before that. And the year before that.

I am pretty upset like the rest of you but this is a direct result of our off season f#ck ups the past few seasons. I would say let Klopp figure out who stays and who goes. I don't think January is the time to make drastic moves but watch out this summer if things don't change with a lot of these players.

True, but I think my main point still stands. We should have the talent and coaching to compete straight up with Watford even on bad days. Getting trounced by them (and I know GK errors early on greatly contributed to it) is pretty damning for all sides.

I agree and conventional thinking would say the score line should be reversed... But they were ahead of us in the table before the match and at home... This is where we're at right now.... Some very poor decisions in the market have lead to a lot of expensive, average players..

That is the sad truth. We have some talent, but we also still lack a lot of chemistry as a first team unit. Too many key guys (Cou, Hendo, Sturridge) have been out too much to allow this squad to gel like they need to. Team chemistry is becoming more and more necessary as the league gains more parity. Look at Chelsea, or ManU... they buy every big name they can, and still cant seem to put it all together, all while Leicester and Watford climb the table. Hell, even Barca took a season to gain chemistry between Messi, Suarez (We miss you bae haha), and Neymar, and now they are playing out of this world. We have a lot of decent talent that has gained some chemistry, like the Man City outing with Lallana, Cou, and Firmino, but now we have guys coming back into the lineup which is throwing that little chemistry gained into a trash can. It sucks to watch, but its obvious we have not played much together as a whole squad.

Now with yesterday in mind, poor Bogdan was horrible. He was a deer in headlights. The officiating all around was just pitiful. They let far too many hard fouls go, even for us, and blew a few too many questionable calls. Our backline looked utterly gased, and they are since we have zero depth. It was a very poor result from a very poor squad. I do hope we can snag Subotic at the January window to add to CB depth, but Im expecting more than a few more ugly matches like this until we can gain some chemistry with a consistent lineup.

Jiminy Christmas, Skrtel out 6 weeks+ with a torn hamstring. Our back line is almost literally non-existent. Klopp is going to have to get at least a CB here.

What else can go wrong this year?

For CB, which of the young-uns could step into the bench for this week? I don't imagine Kolo or Sakho lasting this stretch without picking up some kind of injury. Especially with Sakho not yet fully fit.

I also have reached the point with Bentenke where I think there is no chance he will be workable with Klopp. He is not only too static at times, but he also has zero anticipation. On offense, or in pressing/harrassing. He's slow to recognize pretty much everything, and then slow to move towards whatever he recognizes.

Looks like Marko Grujic is an official thing (won't join until the summer)... Anyone have any insight into him?

Shouldn't Lovren be back by now?

Worst case scenario Can can play RCB.

Decent potential, but very raw. He won't play for the first team next season.

I don't think anyone expects him to. I could see him loaned back to Red Star the remainder of this season, and quite possibly next as well.

Thought it was confirmed he's staying at Red Star the rest of the year?
