How's everyone feeling about the match with Leicester tomorrow? I hate to call it a must win, but it feels that way. We desperately need 3

Part of the Grujic deal is that will be loaned back for the rest of the year. It was something like £7m but goes down to £5.1m with them taking him the rest of the year.

As for Leicester, hopefully our offense finds their groove, because they are a pretty attacking team. Our best bet will be countering but I truthfully have no expectations. We could hit them for 5, or we could lose by 3. Who the frick knows

This is how I'm trying to keep my mindset the rest of the year and hoping for a couple of good cup runs

A Loss today puts us 17 points behind Leceister. Not that I worry about being first, but after the inevitable drop, Leceister will be battling for top 4 still (just too high right now, imo) and we can't afford to fall any further behind them.

Plus with ManU losing right now, its a good day to try to get closer to the top 4 pack.

I know, still trying to keep expectations away, but at some point, we have to hope that Klopp figures a few things out and that we're close enough to matter.

Confirmed #LFC team v @LCFC: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Firmino, Origi

Woah. Not that we have much choice but I worry about the CBs and no real defensive midfielder against Leicester as they really exploit space and miss communication well.

Very offensive lineup for us.

Well I think Klopp wanted to try to match their energy taking Lucas out and putting in more players that will run and cover space. I like the thought. We'll see how it works. And I would've probably liked to see Ibe on instead of Firmino but he didn't even make the bench so he might have a knock

First 25 minutes, they've looked pretty sharp today

We should have put one away with the chances we have had. Cou especially.

Origi looks better but twice I would have rathered a pass than a shot. I mean a free runner into the six yard box is better than his angled shot. Especially when I goes over the bar.

Yep, still aren't great at finishing, but it's at least better energy than Watford so far

Well I wasn't on board with buying a striker in January, but we have to get someone now

This is a joke... Our injuries this season are almost comical.

We defended very well as a whole obviously holding them scoreless for the first time this season. Lovren was huge. Still some nerves at the back though with Mignolet and Sakho today.

We created some decent chances but for frick's sake can we please finish? That last chance on an open net sums up how good we've been at finishing chances

Now we just need to find a way to not be Liverpool on Wednesday, and somehow not lose to the worst team in the league.

Yep... I really do like Lovren under Klopp though, he's been so much better, but honestly outside of the last 15 minutes, I think the entire back 4 played very well today (and even in the last 15 minutes they didn't concede so that's good)

Really defended well as a whole. Kept pressing them and didn't give their wings (especially Mahrez) much space for crosses or to pick out passes and Vardy was invisible for most of the match. Can and Hendo did well to really help control midfield for most of the match. All in all a very solid performance

I thought the CB partnership was interesting yesterday. Against a team and players who really exploit any mis-step or space, they did a pretty decent job. I thought we really only gave up two good chances, both of which Migs saved.

They seemed to be on the same page well enough. With Skyrtel out for awhile, we'll see how well they can do together for a stretch.

I think Lovren has really come on with the defensive organization change under Klopp. He's light years better than he was before, and seems to be gaining confidence each week. The "panic" is mostly gone.

Great goal by Bentenke. I have no idea how we didn't score with a minute left -open goal, he had loads of room. Any one of us could have scored that. Why is he trying to dribble it in?

I think one of our main problems on offense, is that very few players have any conficence in the other players. In where they'll be. In what they'll do when the ball is delivered. Cou seems to be the one guy everyone doesn't mind feeding. But otherwise, there are a ton of badly passed balls into and around the box. Its frustrating as thats the type of stuff you expect from the first few weeks of the season, but these guys have been playing together awhile now.

On the plus side, Studge has tweeted that he's resumed full training. If we're only going to get a game out of him, I say save him for Arsenal in a few weeks.

That Benteke miss was freaking epic.

One of the worst I've ever seen in my life. COME ON!

Glad we won though.

It was a poor effort, for sure, but it was also a good save from the last defender. Maybe he just thought he was off-side. Which he was.

those 5 points that we conveniently dropped in back to back games look huge right now...
