Do what now? I could kiss this sexy beast. And Ozil world class? LMAO, maybe 2 years ago. He was better this year but far from "world class". Lazy alien fricker. Do you not remember the 5-1 game the season before last? I thought he was going to quit the EPL. For real.

I'm ok with it. Honestly with Ibe on the roster,
I'm with you here. He's a proven goal scorer in the EPL on a totally shite team.
There's a good chance he freaking bangs them in this year. He's two footed and can score with his head. He's not Andy Carroll like people are acting.

I think bentenke is a good gamble - I just don't like the price. That price should be for someone a bit more definite. Like Sanchez would have been. He will either work out well or stick out like a sore thumb.
Yeah there is definitely some expensive talent on our roster now. Just have to hope we don't waste the money opportunity we have been handed.

Its England. Sterling just went for 50 freaking million.
His record is 42 in 88 in the EPL at 24. I'd hardly call that a gamble. Again on a pretty shite team as well.
Always a chance someone won't fit in, I'm sure we exhausted other options and were told no. We need a striker and I don't think realistically there's anyone out there better that would sign for us.

The gamble is style of play IMO... I agree, I think he's worth a risk, but ay what price? Not sure, but I think we'll find out..

All the headlines say 49? Didn't say what we netted, just what the bid was.

With Toure in the back three?
I like your optimism but I don't think so. Looking at that midfield, I think we basically promised Milner playing in the middle so I think Henderson gets pushed out right.
Going to be interesting to see how it pans out. We're pretty damn deep everywhere but central defense.

No I don't think we've got a championship squad either.
I think we battle with city for 4th.
Arsenal
Chelsea
United
Liverpool
City
Spurs
If I had to make a wager today on how it ends up

I don't see it that way. The more I think about this Benteke move, the more I like it. You never see the guy stand around, he is always among the defenders. That is something we SORELY missed last year.
I like getting a pure striker to go with all the experience and youthful creativity on this team. I didn't like it at first, but I am turning that opinion around after watching highlights on him.

As a Villa fan, I will certainly tune into some more Pool games to watch Teke grow up as an athlete. I think near the end of last season, you saw that he can be a major scoring threat when given good opportunities.
He is a great mix of strength and speed and works well with the ball. He has a powerful strike and I truly believe he is the kind of guy that will do great with great players around him. He didn't have that at Villa. I'm sure he will do great with Pool.
Thanks for the cash. Knowing our management though, it's still unlikely we use much of it for a replacement.

Prayers sent
Honestly we get the best of both worlds with this deal... Youth and proven talent.

Have fun with playing Hendo at the base of a diamond protecting a back four.

That's right, but then we only get about £40m of that.

He's no Phil thumbhead Jones that's for sure.

Roy playing Phil Jones ad DM for England is down right hilarious.

Going with Le Arse?
Everyone does this. Until they actually do it, I refuse to actually pick them. Chelsea is the favorite AGAIN to me.
Plus they haven't really landed anyone to last year's squad and we all know, despite his world beating form to start the season, Stumpy Wilshire and Ramsey will injure the shite out of themselves after the first month.
Not sold on United just yet. They'll be in the mix but where are all the goals going to come from? They can't solely rely on Roo and win the damn thing.
I think 2-4 will be a crapshoot like most years. I'd love to see City just fall off the map, although I know they're too talented for that to happen.

Not nearly as funny as Paul freaking Konchesky starting at LB for Liverpool.
