We are definitely not getting a true DM but I feel that JK has plans to use different players in a role similar to one. If we do not replace Moreno at LB then we're not finishing in the Top Four., he is just too much of a liability and will be exposed by most clubs. We need to sell Benteke and go get a true LB in the Rodruguez or Hector mode. With Loris and our other new additions on our back line we are very close to giving ourselves a chance at a really good season.

I tend to agree, but we did give up two other goals that weren't his fault.. Ox skinned the entire right side..
Hector just re-upped yesterday with his club, so I gotta think he's off the table.. I'd fricking throw all the Benteke £ at Wolfsburg for Rodriguez..

I agree and I tend to think that Moreno does receive "Lovren type" criticism but I think he is our only glaring weak spot right now. If we could put Rodriguez at the LB I truly believe our prospects go through the roof. I'm not saying we are automatically Top Four but I would like our chances to make some serious noise.

I know this was posted early in the match, but to me for Gi it was the tale of two halves.
I saw a LOT of quality out of Wijnaaldum in the 2nd half. Offensive creativity and at least twice, when Arsenal was counter-attacking, as they were moving it down the field on the counter Wij would come out of nowhere off-screen, running full speed to get in front of the play.
Dude may still be a little rough around the edges in Klopp's scheme, but you can see the talent on offense and you sure as hell can't coach/teach speed.

I agree with you. He is playing with more confidence. There has been an improvement in his play.

It'll be interesting to see who shakes out as the starting two CBs, as the season goes on... When healthy I feel comfortable with the 4 we have...
Considering what he had the last coupe of years, to spend £4.2mm and significantly upgrade your CB pool is pretty good..

yep.. though I don't think Ive ever seen him actually play at CB...
I wonder if Wisdom and Ilori will go out on loan again or be sold..

Didn't they experiment with Milner at LB during the preseason. Maybe even the Barca match? We still need a LB though.
