But neglects to mention the poetic justice of Brazil getting paid off for its thuggish play.

Ah, the ol' bait and switch.

I think the cause of the injury (out of control play) is the story

I mean, I'm the first to hate on Brazil and their 'beautiful' style of play. But that doesn't warrant a very real injury to a great player.

No, but Brazil's strategy against Colombia was clearly to make the game extra physical in order to disrupt Colombia's creative attack.
The Neymar injury was a product of the physical game being played, which was in itself a product of Brazil's strategic approach to the game.
Does Neymar "deserve" to be injured? No, of course not. Is it poetic justice that Brazil's dirty strategy backfired on them? Yes, yes it is.
So now, in Germany, they will face a team that is just as physical but probably even more disciplined. Only they will be without their only creative spark in Neymar. Germany will suffocate them and win, probably 1-0.

quote:Please. If Germany were victim of the fouls committed against Colombia yesterday, half their team would be dead. If Muller took some of the hits that Rodriguez did, there would have been 15 injury stoppages for him alone.
So now, in Germany, they will face a team that is just as physical

Agreed, Germany is my favorite national team after the US, and I'm a Bayern fan as well, but Müller is a bitch

I dunno. It sure seemed to me like Columbia came out playing a very physical and grabby game from the get go.
