I'm fully kitted out for this tasty appetizer and while I'm rooting for me Dutch ancestry to come through I'd be most happy with a draw for gambling purposes

Mate, I like you more than most here but I fear you may actually be mentally challenged. Or a narcissist. One or the other. Maybe both

Cheers

After Timbers challenge, the ref missed an opportunity to keep the game in his control by not carding Timber on the shove. Don’t know why it’s so hard to see patterns

That’s tough for Ecuador. I don’t think the goalie was getting to that regardless.

He didn’t touch it or make a play on it and had no involvement on whether it was a goal or not. Is that the correct interpretation of the rule?

That’s allowed in my book

I don’t think so either. He wasn’t blocked from the initial shot and went to the ground, the deflection would have beat him regardless.

I am lightly rooting for Ecuador and think it’s correct. He was in front of the keeper and shielded him.

If he wasn’t there, I bet it’s still a goal because of the fluky nature of the play, but that is the correct call.

He was shielding his view of the play. I don’t think he was “influenced” by the Ecuadorian’s positioning though.

that is the correct call.

It is, but the rule is stupid because it is subjective. Should only be disallowed if it was touched offside, or if the guy actively interfered with the keeper.

How will Ecuador qualify for world cups or even score at world cups when Enner Valencia retires?

Ecuadors last 6 goals or so at the WC have been from him
