All this game proved is that even at 39 years old he was capable of dragging a mediocre Argentina team to a final. Not sure what more you want from him.

Meh. I get it that Argentina isn't likable. I don't like them either esp. after that stunt they pulled after the England match.

Argentina played perhaps the weakest schedule in World Cup history and still needed corrupt officiating to win multiple games against those weak teams.
Even with the help of the ref in this game who refused to give out multiple cards to Argentina, not to mention w ignoring more that an equivalent number of fouls he let go uncalled, they still couldn’t even manage a shot in the first 110 minutes of the game.

I guess its not his fault he's an argie, he was born there, but very sad.
