Accessibility of ELP is a major reason why. The "early" US superstars all also played in the EPL.

Plus the players, coaches, fans, everything is all in English which makes it easier to follow / get into

Watching. England play is like watching paint dry. This team is gonna get throttled by Italy, France, Belgium for sure and maybe Germany or Portugal.

That's an interesting thought, as well, and logically it would mean that the Louisiana-based or Louisiana-born posters would be naturally included to follow France and/or Spain, although it is true that Louisiana's cultural heritage also features a lot of Anglo-Irish influence and the Francophone/Hispanic influence has been Anglicized.

I’d also say it’s easier now days to watch the Championship than it is to watch LaLiga and Ligue 1 in the United States
And even Serie A up until a few years ago

Maybe so. He seems to miss a lot of games.

This is true, but I feel like most my Hispanic friends are more inclined to follow Copa America or root for Spain or Portugal.

Well of course, but how many Hispanic people post here?
Don’t think any
And what percentage of the United States is Hispanic? Not large

Raheem Sterling would rather tap dance than play soccer.

Yes. I’m saying there’s more to it than just accessibility of the product though.

Obviously
Although Hispanic people I’ve worked with follow the EPL (mostly Man United or Liverpool) over any of the other leagues

For sure, but that should change with La Liga leaving Bein.

Really hope the EPL will move to ESPN once the nbc deal is up.
With nbc sports being done , I don’t see them renewing
So might as well have 4 of them on ESPN
