So VAR is supposed to be for clear and obvious errors by the ref and ARs... what was "clear and obvious" about that?

Offsides isn't considered clear an obvious by the VAR rules. It either is or isn't. (NBCSports said this after the match. So I'll take their word for it.)

That's silly... either it needs to fall under the clear and obvious thing or they need to put some kind of caveat on the thing to prevent what we saw today

Wasn't the first time it's happened this season either. Judging millimeters off of a pixilated video feed is just stupid.
