Italy beats CR and they don't have much to play for against Uruguay though, right?

No Uruguay could win the group over them if they beat Italy.

Christ what an infantile understanding of reality. Look at any measure of wealth and standard of living and you will find countries ahead of the UK. It's a nice country but let's not be stupid because England are not very good at football. Everyone has known that for a long time.

Ye England is awesome but its expensive as frick even for the English.

Sure, Scandanavian countries, but it's easy to have a high standard of living with such small populations. Plus their climate blows and they can't defend themselves if need be.

Not for advancing, but I'm sure they'd much rather face Ivory Coast/Japan/Greece in the round of 16 than Columbia.

And theoretically, if they only beat Costa Rica by one, a CR win over England and a two-goal win by Uruguay over Italy and the Italians actually wouldn't advanced, even with six points.

Should also point out that Hart was poor at both goals.

I'm sure they loved finishing second to the US in 2010.

Winning the group, though a draw would do that for them.

That was piled on top of their own ineptitude

I think an Italy/Uruguay draw is extremely likely.

Haha seriously, I love that this guy thinks English fans are sitting around worried about what the US is doing.

But not like it really matters all that much. You play Columbia or Greece/Ivory Coast/Japan. Not murderers row.

Germany and France both have higher GDP's than the UK.

I'd like to think this, but I don't know. Uruguay's defense has looked terrible. So unless Italy doesn't even attempt to go forward at all....

I think it's likely Uruguay and Italy, but who knows

I already mentioned Germany but explained why England still have the edge.

France are even more miserable fricks that the English and with their new tax laws we'll see how long they are able to keep wealth in the country. Plus they are just as helpless as the Scandanavian countries.
