they missed a clear handball, but it far from "bailed them out"... IMO, even with that goal taken away, Pool still wins this game... they were just the better at finishing their chances than City was today...

I think the best you could say is Liverpool's 1st goal would have been wiped off and they would have had a free kick from inside their own box. City still would not have had a penalty.
