basically this. DDG was also not himself in preseason. He wasn't bad, but definitely not up to the high standard he set last season.

For right now, Romero is okay. Valdes apparently is not an option, and Romero is better than Lindegaard (I like Lindegaard as a guy, but his physical abilites are limited).
If we're gonna sell De Gea, I think we need to bring someone else in to see us through the season. I think at some point Romero will get exposed. He is a good GK, but not at a United No. 1 level, imo. At this point, I wish we would just tell RM where to go and keep DDG for the season. We don't need the money. I know he wants a move, but DDG will come through it. Issue resolved.

And CITY SPENT €45 Million on Otamendi LOL. Wayyyy over paid for him.... Hopefully we can get a deal for Laporte/Varane or Griezmann/ Lacazette

City def has an expensive arse CB pairing and if they get KDB will spend 130 million pounds on 3 players which is fricking absurd. But when they fail in Europe again we can just point in laugh.
As for us im liking what we have at CB, Mike Smalling is finally playing to his potential. Blind so far proving his doubters wrong. Once Rojo is back and Jones is healthy we will be set. Can always drop Carrick to CB is needed.

I really want us to go for Alexandre Pato!!!! He's still super young and has champions league experience.. Has been injury free for 2 years and is having his best season with 20 goals and counting so far. Low risk, high reward guy don't ya think? Plus he's pacey which is what LVG wants

United make a lot more money in kit deals than anyone else in the world. The net spending has been great this summer. It's an arms race. I just want a dang striker.
