Rude. You need to apologize.

But the obvious answer is that Trapp was a key player under Gregg so SCH is assuming that this will continue with the USMNT. However, with an entirely different player pool, I’m not convinced that he will be a lock since we haven’t even had a game to give us a preview of how Gregg will run things, personnel wise.

He is a massive step up from our other options at left back. If this tournament is going to be used to get young players playing time in a tournament atmosphere, then I agree with your sentiment.

I was hoping this thread would spur some more conversation than two lineups and some phantom downvotes.

If the 314 Ginger continues to score goals, Altiboreme should never sniff the field for USA soccer.

So you expect Sargent to play every minute of every game until Jozy retires?

I know its League One, and he may not be in our starting XI, but if Lynden Gooch continues the tear he's currently on I hope he gets a call up.

Gregg says he’s calling up another winger. I wonder if it’s Amon.

I don’t rate Nagbe. Don’t think he’s in the XI. Trapp is solid. Brad Guzan not so much.

Steffen
Yedlin-Brooks-Miazga-Ream
Puli-McKennie-Adams-?
Sargent-Weah

Here’s where I’m a bit torn. I really like the kid at Benfica Keaton Parks but he’s not playing enough. Could slide next to McKennie and free up Adams to get forward. Interested to see who gets some regular time in ‘19.

Wouldn’t mind FabJo back. If Weah plays on that flank and links up with Sargent need someone with pace and understanding of when to get into final third and when to hold.

As long as Pulisic is on the wing, we don't have a CM in our pool with anything close to Nagbe's short and intermediate passing, composure on the ball, ability to relieve pressure, and ability to transition from the defensive to the attacking third.

I also hate the phrase "I don't rate..." Who came up with that? You rate them, you just rate them poorly. A bad rating is still a rating.

I can't tell that he's playing at all.

Umm, what? You should probably get ready to duck.

And Trapp showed over the past year he isn't good enough for international football. We have better options that can play his position who can contribute.

So you want a midfield with just 8's and 6's?

That is basically the Sarachen 4-1-4-1 all over again and we had no attacking quality whatsoever.
