I'm doing this just because I watched Sargent today and now I want to see him make runs off of Jozy's hold up play.

:inb4frickJozy:

Steffen
Yedlin-Brooks-Miazga-Robinson
Pulisic-Adams-McKennie-Nagbe
Sargent-Altidore

Steffen/Guzan
Cannon-Brooks-???-Robinson/Garza
McKennie
Pulisic-Adams-Nagbe-Weah
Altidore

Your Atlanta United fandom is showing.

Steffen was a better GK than Guzan this year and Garza needs to show that he can stay healthy.

But if he is healthy, you don't think he is better than Robinson?

I wouldn't go that far.

No, he doesn't. Really just needs to be healthy at the beginning of the tournament. If you think that, then why is Altidore in your XI?

Because Altidore has been a hell of a lot more healthy than Garza.

Again, your Atlanta United fandom is showing.

I've lost count of how many national team matches Jozy has missed due to injury. Jozy is likely to tear a muscle every time he stretches.

I mean Garza has missed time in each of the last three years because of major injuries.

And even this year when both missed significant time, Jozy logged more games and minutes in MLS this year.

So... yeah.

Jozy in recent history has been a lot more healthy than Garza and it's really not even debatable.

It absolutely is debatable, especially when trying to determine if a player is likely to be able to stay healthy through a tournament.

The idea that Garza has been more healthy than Jozy?

Lol no.

What do you think is more likely, Greg injuring his shoulder again (which was surgically repaired), or Jozy tearing his hamstring for the 12th time?

Garza has mostly been out because of fluke injuries (like a sports hernia leading to a torn labrum in the hip, or falling on his shoulder wrong and not letting it heal). Jozy is due for an injured hamstring, thigh, foot, etc. every other month.

Altidore
Nagbe Pulisic Amon
McKennie Bradley
Johnson Brooks Miazga Yedlin

This isn’t necessarily my preferred XI but how I think we will line up based on things Berhalter has said about players needing to play with their club team and how his teams line up with a true 10.

I could easily remove Weah for Amon or Gall if Weah goes on loan and doesn't play much.

I would love a committed Fab for this cycle, because he is still so versatile. I think he's played RB the last couple of games for Gladbach. But I just feel like he is over national team play at this point.

Granted, that could change if FC Cincy lure him stateside.

There was a comment made during the Dortmund game yesterday that Berhalter had talked to FabJo about bringing him back into the fold.

If Johnson comes back he better be 100% committed. Alot of those issues last year(s) had alot to do with his attitude.

And you're basing that off what, exactly?
